I can't say enough good things about my experiences with Gorham Bike & Ski. We've been in mostly for bikes, and have always done very well. Visited again yesterday to ask about and look at options, and Dan was great - very knowledgeable and helpful, no hard sell or upsell, helped us determine the best fit for us, and we walked out with just what we needed at a very good price. Dan was awesome, and the other team member who helped prep our bike was also very knowledgeable and helpful. GBS is on our short list for highest recommendations for local businesses.
The staff (Joe specifically) was amazing. I took my 15 year old son in to get new skis and he answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My son can’t wait to bring his new skis to the mountain.
I will say we had stopped into a different shop and it felt like they just wanted to sell us anything. Joe took the time to make sure the skis, boots and bindings were the best fit for us. I do not ski and know little about the sport. I’m sure I asked a lot of silly questions but Joe was very respectful and helped me understand the difference in equipment.
My wife and I went in to get fitted for snow ski rental equipment. Mark helped us with everything. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and had a great personality. The equipment is new and will save us from long lines & wasted time . I highly recommend Gorham Bike & Ski.
Mark in Portland took tons of extra time to make sure the kids’ boots were comfortable and that their skis would be the right fit for their season. And that was just for a couple leases! When I returned to pick up their gear, Dan insisted on carrying all the gear out to my truck. He then gave me enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and honest advice about putting together my own new ski/binding combo. Thanks for yet another A+ experience at GBS this fall!

Bought a Cannondale hybrid bike today from Gorham Bike and Ski- the staff were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. I needed a bike for keeping up with my child, and he was super nice about meeting my needs. Excellent service!
Knowledgeable and kind team! Dropped in to have my flat replaced and ended up not just getting that fixed derailleur tuned up too. The team provided helpful knowledge and took the time to get my bike in the best shape possible.
